The 2013 Photographer of the Year Competition was held in Mallow Camera Club on Monday night 27 May. There was intense, but friendly, competition between members of different grades, and the results reflected the commitment and hard work of club members.
When the votes were counted Bill Power emerged as the 2013 Photographer of the Year. Not only did Bill win the top annual award he also won the trophies for best colour print and best monochrome panel.
Each member of the club was allowed enter up to twelve images in the competition, with the marks of each entrant’s five highest scoring images being used to determine their overall mark.  Independent adjudication was undertaken by Cork Camera Group photographers Michael O’Sullivan, Niamh Whitty and Martin Duggan.
