There was a great start to the new Mallow Camera Club photographic season on Monday night in the Mercy Centre. Â Club Chairman, Bill Power, welcomed everyone back after the summer and said he was delighted to see a full house with both familiar and new faces.
The club programme for the period September to December was presented to the club by John Doheny, Secretary, and includes numerous activities such as guest speakers, practical nights, outings, competitions and photography skills development.  The full programme can be seen on a separate tab or click here to download.
A tutorial on taking great portrait and people shots was then given by Vivien Buckley, with the help of willing models, as a precursor to next week’s practical portrait night. The shots taken were then projected and discussed by the whole group. A very enjoyable night was had by all.
Next week, 16 September: Practical portrait night. Bring along your camera and flashgun.  We will also have two studio set-ups for you to try your portraiture skills.  Photography skills course starts at 8:00 p.m. sharp, with the main meeting commencing at 8:30 p.m.
