Mallow CC had another great weekend when members of the club picked up awards at the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) Print and Projected Image and IPF Nature Competitions held in Kilkenny on 21 and 22 February last.
Print and Projected Image (PPI) Competition
Congratulations club members Bill Power and Janusz Tresecki who won three awards between them in the PPI competition held on Saturday 21 February.
Bill won the IPF Silver medal in the Advanced Monochrome Print Open section of the PPI competition for his image for ‘I Awake’. Bill also won a Judge’s Medal in the same section for his image ‘Je t’ai pensé’.
Janusz won an Honourable Mention for his image ‘Nighttime Scrum’ in the Advanced Projected Image Open section of the competition.
In addition to the above awards Vivian Buckley, Joy Buckley, John Hooton and Bill Power had prints retained by the IPF for possible use in international competitions.

Nature Competition
In the IPF National Nature Competition held on Sunday 22 February club members Paul Tips and Bill Power both picked up medals.
Paul won a Gold medal for his image ‘Mating Tellow Dung Flies’ in the Projected Theme (Insects) Advanced section of the competition.
Bill picked up two Silver medals; one in the Print Open Advanced category for his image ‘Toadstool and Oakleaf’ and one in the Projected Natural World Advanced category for ‘Parasites on a Damselfly’.
