Mallow Camera Club had a fantastic result from the Southern Association of Camera Club’s (SACC) Interclub Cup 2021 competition.This is an annual competition run by the SACC, and this year’s competition was run as a digital-only competition, with each club entering a colour panel and a mono panel of 10 images each.
The competition was judged by the highly respected judges Paul Stanley FIPF EFIAP/g EsFIAP, Helen Hanafin FIPF EFIAP/s and Ross McKelvie MFIAP MPAGB FBPE MPAGB FBIPP.
The results were announced on 28th May 2021 and Mallow Camera Club took first place in the competition, with the full results as follows:
• Colour Panel: 1st Place
• Mono Panel: 1st Place
• Overall: 1st Place
• Overall Best Colour Image: Janusz Trzesicki AIPF ARPS.
The photographers whose images were selected for the winning panels were Janusz Trzesicki AIPF ARPS, Justyna Trzesicka LIPF, Julia Trzesicka LIPF, Pat O’Meara LIPF, Viv Buckley FIPF AFIAP, Joy Buckley LIPF, Neily Curtin AIPF AFIAP and Fred Ward.
Mallow Camera Club’s Chairman, Kieran Cogan, said: “We are absolutely delighted with this result which showcases some of the incredible talent within the club.” Kieran congratulated and thanked the contributing photographers and also thanked the MCC Selections Committee, comprised of Viv Buckley FIPF AFIAP, Pat O’Meara LIPF, Lisa Egan, Neily Curtin AIPF AFIAP, Paul Tips LIPF, Janusz Trzesicki AIPF ARPS, Kieran Cogan and Neil O’Mullane LIPF, who had put in an excellent effort in finalising the successful panels.
