The theme for November was “Open Mono” meaning any genre, while complying fully with COVID- 19 restrictions. The competition was judged by the well known and distinguished photographer Dan Geary AIPF from Cork Camera Group. Dan put in a huge effort and did a fantastic job of the judging for us. Dan provided precise, clear and definitive commentary, including suggestions for improvement where appropriate, on all images which was highly appreciated by all the entrants.
MCC members are graded over four grades, with Grade 1 being the less experienced photographers and Grade 4 the most experienced and advanced. The standard of entries was very high, with a lot of fabulous entries. There is a huge amount of administration in a competition like this and MCC’s Competition Secretary and Assistant Secretary, Neil O’ Mullane and Lisa Egan did a tremendous job on this.
The winners of the November competition were announced via a Zoom conference call on November 23rd 2020 November with a fantastic turnout of members participating in the call.
