Hello everyone,
 I am pleased to be able to tell you that entries are now open for the Regional Nature Competition run by the Southern Association of Camera Clubs. This event is being held in the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny on Sunday 27th January. Our friends in Kilkenny Photographic Society have kindly arranged to host the event. The venue is excellent. We highly recommend the carvery lunch. There is also lounge and bar facilities.
 Entries must be made on-line via Picturk. For details go to: http://sacc.ie/2013/01/16/sacc-nature-competition-2013/ Entries will not be accepted on the day. Entrants must be members of clubs that are current members of the SACC. Please check, before entering that your club has paid this year’s fees (€50), otherwise the entry will be invalid. Club membership fees will be accepted up to the day of the competition.
The competition will be judged by two outstanding nature photographers and FIPF holders, Mark Sedgewick of Celbridge CC and Des Connors of Mid-Louth CC.
 Please advise those entering to read the FIAP nature definition which applies to this event, and also check the IPF website for their nature competition rules.

Further details of the competition will be posted to the SACC website closer to the date, so please keep an eye on this. You will see that there are additional categories in this year’s competition.
