At the 2013 Salon Photographique International Le Catalan, held in Perpignan, France, two Mallow Camera Club members John Hooton and Bill Power had eleven acceptances between them.  John had five images accepted, while Bill had six (see panel below).  In addition John Hooton won the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Gold Medal for his image ‘Shipwreck’ below.

Bill and John also enjoyed success in the Midland Salon of International Photography, UK, the results of which were also announced recently.  John had four acceptances in the Open Colour PDI section one of which ‘Walkers’ was awarded a MCFP Ribbon.  Bill enjoyed three acceptances for images in three categories.

Well done to both on their success.  For Bill the results are especially pleasing as he has just begun entering his work in international salons.
